The Social Media Intern is the cross-functional support seat. You spend roughly 40% editing, 30% writing captions and ideas, and 30% on social media management — posting, scheduling, DM triage.
This is a 3-month internship with stipend. If you hit the bar at the 3-month mark, you convert to a permanent role on the team.
Title path: Social Media Intern → Social Media Executive → Content Associate.
What you will own
- Basic reel editing from team-shot raw footage. 2-3 publishable reels per day from raw to finished.
- Story templates for Instagram, designed and scheduled across all client + agency pages.
- Caption + hashtag + CTA writing for upcoming posts, in the founder voice doc.
- Posting + scheduling across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook (Buffer / Later / Meta Suite).
- DM triage + comment engagement. Sort inbound into categories. Respond to engagement comments within 4 hours.
- Idea support. Bring 3-5 fresh hook ideas or trending audio finds to the daily sync.
- Asset organization across Drive and Notion.
- Weekly performance tracking. Pull stats into a simple Notion dashboard every Friday.
Who we are looking for
- Basic video editing fluency in any tool (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Canva for Video).
- Content native. You watch reels for fun, not just for work. You know what's trending right now.
- Hustle. When today's list is done you find the next thing without being asked.
- Coachable. Feedback lands, defensiveness does not.
- Internet fluent. Memes, formats, current creators — you can name them.
- Hungry for the permanent role. An intern who treats this as a stepping stone grows into the seat.
Current students or recent grads are welcome. Any field of study is fine.
This role is not for you if
- You wait for instructions when there is no clear task.
- You do not actually use Instagram or cannot name a current trend.
- You are only here for the stipend, not the permanent-role pathway.
- You prefer "structured environments" over a fast-moving small team.
- You get defensive when feedback is harsh.
